Terms of Use

Last updated: 4 August 2026

These terms govern your use of AntiqueID: Antique Appraiser and the antiqueid.app website, both operated by Yaysoft LTD. By installing or using the app you agree to them.

1. Estimates are not appraisals

AntiqueID: Antique Appraiser produces AI-generated estimates for research and curiosity only. They are not professional appraisals and must not be relied upon for insurance, sale, purchase, tax, probate, lending or any other legal or financial decision.

Every value we show is a range, not a price. It is produced by an artificial-intelligence model from photographs alone, without the physical examination, provenance research and market knowledge a qualified appraiser brings. The model can be wrong about the object, its age, its maker and its worth — including confidently wrong. Where the evidence in your photographs is insufficient, the app is designed to say so rather than invent a figure, but this safeguard is not perfect either.

Before you buy, sell, insure or dispose of anything of consequence, obtain a valuation from a qualified appraiser or auction house.

2. What the service does

You photograph an object. The app sends your photographs, and any note you add, to our servers, which pass them to a third-party artificial-intelligence model. The model attempts to identify the object, read any maker’s marks, assess condition and authenticity, and produce an estimated value range with the reasoning behind it. You may save the result to a collection that is stored on your device.

The service is informational. We do not buy, sell, broker, authenticate or insure antiques, and we are not a party to any transaction you enter into.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to use the app. The app is not directed at children.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are offered on an annual or weekly basis and are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play — not by us. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm, and may vary by country.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the then-current price for your plan.
  • You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

We never see or store your card details. Subscription status is verified through the stores and through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider.

5. Free trial and free scans

Where a free trial is offered, it is granted once per Apple ID or Google account. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the price shown when you signed up. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Without a subscription the app allows a limited number of scans per day. That limit, the trial length and the plans offered may change over time.

6. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, so refunds are governed by their policies and must be requested from them. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases. If something has gone wrong, contact us at support@yaysoft.net and we will help where we can.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload photographs you do not have the right to use, or that show people, identity documents or private information;
  • upload unlawful, infringing, harmful or deliberately misleading content;
  • use the service to authenticate goods you know or suspect to be counterfeit, stolen, looted or illegally traded, or to misrepresent an object to a buyer;
  • present our estimates to anyone as a professional appraisal or as our valuation of an object;
  • scrape, resell or redistribute our output, or use it to train another model;
  • attempt to bypass usage limits or subscription checks, reverse engineer the app, or interfere with our infrastructure.

Cultural property, ivory, protected species and certain antiquities are regulated in many countries. Complying with those laws when you buy, sell or move an object is your responsibility.

8. Your photographs and content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and transmit your photographs and notes for the limited purposes of operating the service, producing your result, supporting you, and diagnosing and improving the quality of identification and valuation. You confirm you have the right to grant that licence.

How long we keep this material, who processes it and how to have it deleted are set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Our content and marks

The app, the website, their design, text and software are owned by Yaysoft LTD and protected by copyright and other rights. “AntiqueID” and our logo are our marks. You may use the results you generate for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, plans and prices, and may impose or vary usage limits. The service depends on third-party providers — if one of them is unavailable, part of the app may not work.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that identifications, authenticity assessments or value estimates are accurate, complete or reliable.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yaysoft LTD is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity, nor for any loss arising from a decision you made in reliance on an estimate, identification or authenticity assessment produced by the app.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ten pounds sterling.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time by deleting the app (cancel any subscription separately in the store). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — continue to apply.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence and you keep the protection of its mandatory consumer law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be signalled in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
